Where to go?
On the site of today’s Schiller Lookout Tower—where Kozihrady Castle once stood—now rises this interesting structure named after the German poet Friedrich Schiller.
It was opened with great fanfare in 1906. Thousands of visitors flocked to Kryry for its opening. The lookout tower underwent extensive renovation to mark its 100th anniversary, regaining its original appearance from 1906.
If you climb the 122 wooden steps, a magnificent view of the Doupov Mountains, Ore Mountains, and Central Bohemian Uplands opens up before you.
